To date, Keri has travelled in 55 countries, with over 20 of these in Africa. Still, new countries are being added and others revisited every year to ensure constant diversity and fresh insights for readers of her travel features. Many of the countries written about are well known to travellers, others are not – so Keri’s aim is to give insight into these lesser known places and their unique offerings so readers can make informed decisions about travelling there. All have unique attractions; all are evocative.
However, it’s understood that not every place is appealing to everybody, but travel features strive to give a feeling or sense of a place so readers have a better idea of what to expect when they visit there. In a way, the travel writer ventures ahead to ‘test the waters’ and brings back an informed account of their experience of different countries and places.
That, really, is the purpose of travel stories from around the world. It’s a little like having your own private pocket travel investigator – and advisor.
